Basketball Game Preview: San Antonio Christian Lions vs. St. Anthony Yellowjackets

The San Antonio Christian Lions will take on the St. Anthony Yellowjackets in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, San Antonio Christian came up short against St. Joseph and fell 42-35. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Anthony entered their match against Saint Mary's Hall on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. St. Anthony took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Mary's Hall.

St. Anthony's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-5. As for San Antonio Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

San Antonio Christian couldn't quite finish off St. Anthony in their previous matchup back in January and fell 48-45. Thankfully for San Antonio Christian, Alejandra Vargas (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
