Volleyball Recap: Emmanuel Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Emmanuel Christian Academy had won two straight games and Pheoby Hamastra did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Tri-County North Panthers by a score of 3-1 for which the team can thank Hamastra, who had 54 digs and four aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Emmanuel Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Tri-County North lost, don't look at Audrey Fox. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and seven aces.

The win got Emmanuel Christian Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Tri-County North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emmanuel Christian Academy will challenge Middletown Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-County North, they will square off against Tri-Village at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
