Junipero Serra waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders 12-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Tuesday.

Riley Lim looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tyler Harrison was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Ethan Matthews also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Junipero Serra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .382 or higher in three consecutive games.

Junipero Serra pushed their record up to 22-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Archbishop Riordan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17-1 record this season.

Archbishop Riordan will venture away from home to challenge Carlmont at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Junipero Serra will be paying especially close attention to the Crusaders' match: after the Crusaders face off against the Scots, they'll take on Junipero Serra again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
