Baseball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-18 in the process. They came up short against the Greenville Green Wave, falling 15-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Railroaders of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bradford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Gambill, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Gambill has hit this season.

As for Greenville, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13. The match marked their most dominant victory of the season.

On Greenville's side, Adam Edwards made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Greenville is 2-1 when Edwards allows one or fewer hits, but 6-12 otherwise. Edwards was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bradford will head out on the road to square off against Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenville, they will welcome Bethel at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
