With a playoff win on the line, Creekside rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Atlantic Coast Stingrays with a sharp 72-49 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Nolan Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 25 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Patterson, who went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points.
Creekside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.
Several Stingrays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Pardue, who posted eight points. Creekside pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Creekside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-36 victory against Flagler Palm Coast on the 7th. Atlantic Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
