Basketball Recap: Dunham Gets the Win

On Saturday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, the Dunham Tigers made off with a 49-48 win over the Alexandria Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordyn Johnson, who went 7 of 15 en route to 18 points. The match was Johnson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarvell Bordelon, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Dunham's victory bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Alexandria, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 23-6 record.

Dunham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-44 defeat against Liberty Magnet on the 27th. As for Alexandria, they will welcome Pineville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
