Volleyball Recap: Coudersport Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Coudersport managed to slip by Wellsboro the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Hornets on Saturday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Wellsboro scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Coudersport lost, don't look at Ella Wahlers. Despite the final result, she had five digs, three aces, and one block. Wahlers is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Leading Wellsboro to victory were Maddy Cruttenden and Taylor Main. Cruttenden had 17 digs and five aces, while Main had four digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Main a new career-high in assists (20).

Coudersport's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Wellsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Coudersport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Port Allegany on the 29th. Hopefully Wellsboro paid attention to the Falcons' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
