Softball Recap: Hamilton County Takes a Loss

Hamilton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to the Tuscola Warriors.

Hamilton County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colebie Miller, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Rayci Phelps was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Hamilton County's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Tuscola, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Hamilton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-1 defeat against Red Bud on the 10th. As for Tuscola, they will head out to face off against St. Joseph-Ogden at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
