Football Recap: Poynette Skates Past Deerfield with Ease

There's no place like home for Poynette, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Deerfield Demons 37-6. The Pumas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Poynette has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.5 points on average over those games. As for Deerfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
