Baseball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lincoln on Monday, Monroe came back down to earth. The Trojans fell just short of the Railsplitters by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Railsplitters earlier this season, when they won 9-0.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

While Monroe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
