Volleyball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Takes a Loss

Cimarron-Memorial lost against Centennial back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs.

Cimarron-Memorial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-23, 25-19.

Centennial was led to victory by Macey Gonzales and Sophia Sandoval. Gonzales had seven digs and two aces, while Sandoval had nine digs and one assist. Those seven digs gave Gonzales a new career-high.

Cimarron-Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Centennial, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Cimarron-Memorial will head out to face off against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centennial, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m.
