Basketball Game Preview: Mountain Ridge Sentinels vs. Bingham Miners

The Mountain Ridge Sentinels will challenge the Bingham Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Mountain Ridge took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 70-66 W over Riverton. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Sentinels as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mountain Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Lindsay out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Isaac Langston was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, Bingham faced Copper Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Bingham enjoyed a cozy 74-60 win over Copper Hills.

Bingham's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Mountain Ridge, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-7.

Mountain Ridge lost to Bingham on the road by a decisive 62-46 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Mountain Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
