Baseball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage couldn't beat Castle View on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Eagles fell 10-6 to the Sabercats. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Sabercats since on Friday.

Mason VanWyk made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Castle View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will host Legend at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Castle View, they will face off against Mountain Vista at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Sabercats surely won't give up without a fight.
