Softball Recap: Valders' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Valders extended their postseason success on Thursday against Xavier. They blew past the Hawks 8-2. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Valders' fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Xavier, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-10 record.

Coming up, Valders will face off against Fall Creek on the 13th. The Crickets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Xavier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
