It's playoff time, and East Nicolaus had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Quincy Trojans get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Not much got past Stevie Knight, who gave up just four hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Quincy off the board. Knight has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabby Sotelo, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
East Nicolaus' record now sits at 21-6. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.
As of now, neither East Nicolaus nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
