            Baseball Preview: Carteret Ramblers vs. North Plainfield Canucks        
        
		
        
        
            The Carteret Ramblers will venture away from home to  take on the North Plainfield Canucks  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Carteret took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against J.P. Stevens, sneaking past  5-3.
 Lucas Rivera made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Rivera was even better at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Rivera wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Nick Kee, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, North Plainfield hadn't done well against Piscataway recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. The Canucks blew past the Chiefs 12-1.
 Carteret might still be hurting after the  8-0 loss they got from North Plainfield  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. Can the Ramblers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
