Basketball Game Preview: Central Woodstock Falcons vs. Buckingham Knights

The Central Woodstock Falcons will face off against the Buckingham Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Central Woodstock is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Clarke County, falling 68-46. The Falcons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Buckingham came up short against Prince Edward County on Saturday and fell 41-30. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Eagles are ranked 101st).

Central Woodstock's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Buckingham, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Central Woodstock strolled past Buckingham when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 62-48. Will Central Woodstock repeat their success, or does Buckingham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
