Baseball Recap: Delta Gets the Win

Delta posted their closest win since April 29, 2025 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Resurrection Christian Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Mack Lockhart made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lockhart was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Lockhart wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Kennell, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Delta's record is now 2-0. As for Resurrection Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Delta will take on University in a tournament on Friday. As for Resurrection Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tolleson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
