Baseball Recap: Denver North Takes a Loss

Denver North and Cherry Creek squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Denver North had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Bruins. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Vikings haven't been shut out since back in April.

Denver North's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Cherry Creek, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-5-1.

Denver North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cherry Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rocky Mountain at 9:30 a.m. The Lobos' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
