Softball Game Preview: Lakeview Bulldogs vs. Forbush Falcons

The Lakeview Bulldogs will square off against the Forbush Falcons at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Monday. Lakeview sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-15 victory over Poland Seminary. Lakeview hasn't had any issues with Poland Seminary recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Isabella Isenberg was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Isenberg was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Mackenzie Stowe and Kennedy Bartlett did most of the damage at the plate: Stowe went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Bartlett went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave Bartlett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Capan, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Forbush got the win against Millville on Friday by a conclusive 13-7. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Forbush's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Lakeview, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
