Baseball Recap: Navajo Beats Blair for Their 11th Straight Victory

Navajo had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Blair Broncos an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Navajo pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Blair, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Navajo will take on Hobart at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hobart has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.4 runs per game on average), something Navajo will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Blair, they will face off against Mangum at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mangum's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Blair's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
