Basketball Recap: Glenbard West Has No Trouble Against Hinsdale South

Glenbard West won the last time they faced Hinsdale South and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Glenbard West Hilltoppers blew past the Hinsdale South Hornets 69-44. The Hilltoppers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Hinsdale South still got an impressive performance from Maeve Savage, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Savage is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Hailey Goins, who posted 14 points.

Glenbard West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Hinsdale South, they dropped their record down to 12-18 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Glenbard West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hinsdale South, they will take on Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hancock's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Hinsdale South's offense will have their work cut out for them.
