Baseball Recap: Denver South's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Denver South had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 13-9 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Vista PEAK Prep Bison. This was a revenge game for the Ravens: when they faced off against the Bison two weeks ago, they had to take a 6-5 defeat.

Johnny Komarowsky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Denver South is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landon Leu, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

As for Vista PEAK Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Vista PEAK Prep's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Houser, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Looking ahead, Denver South is taking a road trip to square off against Berthoud at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista PEAK Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
