Baseball Recap: Calabasas Comes Up Short

The matchup between Calabasas and Westlake on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Coyotes came up short against the Athletics, falling 18-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Athletics this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Tuesday.

Calabasas has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Westlake, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

While Calabasas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
