Lisle and Latin squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lisle had to settle for second. They came up short against the Romans, falling 17-4. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lisle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-25-1. As for Latin, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Lisle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Latin, they will challenge Chicago Hope Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Romans 3.7, Chicago Hope Academy 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
