Basketball Recap: Craig Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Craig's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over the Haines Glacier Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-43 last Thursday.

Craig's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Steffen, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 17 boards. Steffen is becoming a predictor of Craig's success: when she posts at least ten rebounds the team is 15-3 (and 1-2 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Faith Horner, who posted 12 points along with five assists and three steals.

Craig pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points over those games. As for Haines, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

As of now, neither Craig nor Haines have any future games scheduled.
