Basketball Game Preview: Ore City Rebels vs. Bloomburg Wildcats

The Ore City Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Bloomburg Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ore City has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 5.

Ore City is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Harmony on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ore City was dealt a 51-9 loss at the hands of Harmony. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-4.

Meanwhile, Bloomburg had to suffer through a 70-22 loss at the hands of Bowie. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1537th, while the Pirates are ranked 666th).

Ore City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Bloomburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Ore City took a serious blow against Bloomburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 59-17. Can Ore City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
