Softball Recap: Fruitland Comes Up Short

Fruitland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Weiser Wolverines, falling 12-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 13-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Fruitland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Patrick, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Adlee Harris also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Fruitland's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8. As for Weiser, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolverines beat Fruitland by a score of 12-0 on Wednesday.
