Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White Oak). Everything went their way against the Arp Tigers on Friday as White Oak made off with a 17-8 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Roughnecks, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Jaxsen Ludlow made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 games.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyson McKinney, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Levi Sipes, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

White Oak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

White Oak's victory bumped their record up to 13-2-1. As for Arp, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12-1.

Coming up, White Oak will square off against Center at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. White Oak is facing Center at the right time seeing as Center is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Arp, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Arp Tigers challenge Sabine Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabine has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.83 runs per game on average), something Arp will no doubt try to take advantage of.
