Baseball Recap: North Platte Takes a Loss

North Platte fell victim to Bellevue West and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Saturday.

North Platte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Hagert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

North Platte has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Bellevue West, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

North Platte will be taking part in a tournament against Crete at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bellevue West, they will welcome Park Hill South at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
