Football Game Preview: Randall Raiders vs. West Plains Wolves

Two dominant signal callers in Kaison Benton and REID MACON are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Randall Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Plains Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Randall's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Hereford 24-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 13, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, West Plains blew past Pampa, posting a 55-7 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-7.

Randall better keep an eye on SLADE RUSSELL. He was instrumental in West Plains' win, rushing for 156 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. KANE WHITE-TINSLEY was another key player, gaining 27 total yards and two touchdowns.

West Plains was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Special teams played a big role in the game for West Plains, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of JENKS PHILLIPS, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

West Plains pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Randall, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Randall suffered a grim 43-21 defeat to West Plains in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Raiders were down 23-0.
