Softball Recap: American Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washington on Monday, American came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Moreau Catholic Mariners on Tuesday, falling 17-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 back in April.

Mya Anderson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

American has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Moreau Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. American is set to take on their familiar foe Mission San Jose at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Moreau Catholic will face off against rival Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
