Basketball Recap: South Haven Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

After losing to Oxford the last time they met, South Haven decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The South Haven Cardinals walked away with a 68-59 win over the Oxford Wildcats on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Oxford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kellen Green, who went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points and eight boards. The game was Green's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Cordell Jordan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

South Haven pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Oxford, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.
