Volleyball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

The Marion Bulldogs came up short against the New Braunfels Thunder Homeschool on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Marion ultimately came up short, they really made New Braunfels Thunder work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-11, 25-18.

New Braunfels Thunder was led to victory by Hailey Dyer and Kaitlyn Buchert. Dyer had 15 digs and two assists, while Buchert had 13 digs and three aces. Dyer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for New Braunfels Thunder, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Marion will be taking part in a tournament against George West at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Braunfels Thunder, they will challenge Incarnate Word Academy on Friday.
