Maine South extended their postseason success on Thursday against Niles West. They had just enough and edged out the Wolves 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 28-26.

Leo Trespeces-Winck paced Maine South's offense, picking up 24 kills. Trespeces-Winck got some help from Gabriel Redzic and his 44 assists. Caden Kalinowski controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Maine South pushed their record up to 27-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Niles West, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12.

Looking ahead, Maine South will take on Hersey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. Niles West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
