Softball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Triumphs

Bald Eagle Area got themselves on the board against Penns Valley Area on Monday, but Penns Valley Area never followed suit. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 4-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Sierra Albright, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep Penns Valley Area off the board. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Albright.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sydney Thompson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Raelee Repasky, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Bald Eagle Area's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Penns Valley Area, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bald Eagle Area will venture away from home to take on Williamsport at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Penns Valley Area, they will head out to challenge Philipsburg-Osceola at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
