Basketball Game Preview: West Field Longhorns vs. Green Canyon Wolves

West Field is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Green Canyon is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The West Field Longhorns will welcome the Green Canyon Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, West Field lost to Logan on the road by a 70-53 margin.

Meanwhile, Green Canyon faced Ridgeline in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Green Canyon put the hurt on Ridgeline with a sharp 76-54 win. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

West Field better keep an eye on Easton Stokes. He was instrumental in Green Canyon's win, going 9 of 14 on his way to 22 points along with seven assists and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Stokes a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Crane, who went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Green Canyon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgeline only racked up nine assists.

West Field's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Green Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 21-1.
