Basketball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs vs. Redeemer Christian Lions

The Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs will square off against the Redeemer Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meadowbrook Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season.

Meadowbrook Academy easily dispatched Cornerstone Academy last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Meadowbrook Academy fell just short of Beaches Chapel by a score of 41-39 on Thursday. The contest marked the Mustangs 's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Luke Charske, who went 5 of 10 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Davis Lehman, who posted ten points along with six boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Redeemer Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 55-51 win over Countryside Christian on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Redeemer Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they dropped their record down to 18-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Meadowbrook Academy took their win against Redeemer Christian in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 60-34. In that match, Meadowbrook Academy amassed a halftime lead of 34-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
