Baseball Recap: Andrews Takes a Loss

Andrews couldn't beat Varsity Opponent on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Yellowjackets fell just short of Varsity Opponent by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered since April 30, 2025.

Jaxon Baker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Jordan, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Andrews' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

Andrews wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against West Seneca East on the 10th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next contest (against The St. James Performance Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
