Baseball Game Preview: Jamestown Muskies vs. Cochranton Cardinals

Jamestown is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Cochranton a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Jamestown Muskies will welcome the Cochranton Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Neither Jamestown nor Cochranton posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Wednesday, Jamestown didn't have quite enough to beat Cambridge Springs and fell 2-1.

Danner Babcock put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Babcock was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Cochranton's offense. They fell just short of Lakeview by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cardinals have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Cochranton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Jamestown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
