Softball Recap: Loris Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Loris was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to the Dillon Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Loris saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaci Griffin, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Loris' loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-6-1. As for Dillon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8-1.

Loris wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Marlboro County on the 4th. As for Dillon, they have also already played their next game, a 16-11 victory against Knox Central on the 2nd.
