Preview: Somerset Briar Jumpers vs. Pulaski County Maroons
The Somerset Briar Jumpers will head out on the road to face off against the Pulaski County Maroons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerset is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Friday, Somerset took a serious blow against Rockcastle County, falling 66-27. While losing is never fun, Somerset can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Rockcastle County is ranked 73rd).
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Pulaski County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 55-47 to Ryle. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pulaski County has scored all season.
Somerset's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
Somerset came up short against Pulaski County in their previous matchup back in February, falling 57-49. Can Somerset avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
