Soccer Recap: Dobyns-Bennett Comes Up Short

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Dobyns-Bennett was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tennessee Vikings who were credited with the victory. The Tennessee Vikings got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Dobyns-Bennett Indians' two. Dobyns-Bennett were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Tennessee earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Dobyns-Bennett's loss dropped their record down to 8-2-1. As for Tennessee, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4-1.

Looking ahead, Dobyns-Bennett will venture away from home to take on Volunteer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Volunteer's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Tennessee, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Science Hill on the 17th.
