Softball Game Preview: Addison Knights vs. Alfred-Almond Eagles

The Addison Knights will challenge the Alfred-Almond Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Addison came up short against Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour on Saturday, falling 15-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadleigh Watson, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Alfred-Almond's offense. They lost 13-0 to Genesee Valley on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Alfred-Almond's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Addison, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Addison took their victory against Alfred-Almond in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
