Baseball Game Preview: Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors vs. Damien Monarchs

Kamehameha Kapalama is 9-1 against Damien since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will square off against the Monarchs at 3:30 p.m. Kamehameha Kapalama is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Kamehameha Kapalama is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Pac-Five, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Kamehameha Kapalama was ranked second). The Warriors blew past the Wolfpack 16-0 on Saturday. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Greyson Osbun, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Kamehameha Kapalama hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Damien came up short against Punahou on Friday and fell 5-1. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It's a different story for Damien, though, as they've been averaging only 2.2 strikeouts. Will Kamehameha Kapalama keep running through batters, or will the Monarchs buck the trend?
