Baseball Recap: Vista Takes a Loss

Vista lost to Westview on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Aadyn Thomason made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs. Vista is 3-1 when Thomason posts two or more runs, but 8-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Bala, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vista's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Westview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

While Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
