Soccer Game Preview: West Springfield vs. Edison

The West Springfield Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Edison Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Edison took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Springfield, who comes in off a win.

While West Springfield fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They blew past Mount Vernon 6-0 on Tuesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Majors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Edison unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to Fairfax on Tuesday.
