Basketball Recap: North Providence Comes Up Short

North Providence and Burrillville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but North Providence had to settle for second. They fell to the Burrillville Broncos 51-47. The Cougars have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

It was another big night for Logan Gelinas, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards for Burrillville. That's the most points Gelinas has posted since back in January. Jack Dichiaro was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 20-3. As for Burrillville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

As of now, neither North Providence nor Burrillville have any future games scheduled.
