Wheatley has gone 10-0 against Scarborough recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wheatley Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Scarborough Spartans at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wheatley has seven straight wins, Scarborough has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Scarborough better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Wheatley really get things going. Wheatley simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Furr 71-42. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Wheatley can attribute much of their success to Caria Thomas, who went 8 for 15 from beyond the arc on her way to 26 points along with eight assists and eight boards, and Jamie Solomon, who went 9 of 19 en route to 26 points in addition to six assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thomas has scored at least a third of Wheatley's points. Another player making a difference was Symone Johnson, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Wheatley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 32 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Scarborough played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Worthing, falling 72-6. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-1.

Wheatley pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.7 points per game. As for Scarborough, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Everything came up roses for Wheatley against Scarborough in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 64-8 win. In that contest, Wheatley amassed a halftime lead of 50-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
