East is 8-2 against Avon Grove since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The East Vikings will take on the Avon Grove Red Devils at 6:45 p.m. East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Tacony Academy Charter to the tune of 70-33 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Avon Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 66-54 to Lancaster Mennonite. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 501st, while the Blazers are ranked 51st).

Avon Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for East, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

East might still be hurting after the 77-55 defeat they got from Avon Grove in their previous matchup back in February. Can East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
